Can I arrange overnight, weekend, or live-in care?
Yes. We offer flexible care arrangements, including days, nights, weekends, and live-in care. Our team can discuss your needs and help determine a suitable schedule.
What is the difference between an HCA, LPN, and RN?
Health Care Aides (HCAs) help with everyday personal care, mobility, hygiene, and daily living.
Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) provide nursing care within their professional scope of practice.
Registered Nurses (RNs) provide nursing assessments, care planning, and nursing interventions within their professional scope.
The right level of care depends on your individual needs.
How do you screen and qualify your caregivers?
We prioritize safety, professionalism, and dependable care. Our staff screening and qualification processes include:
- Criminal record and vulnerable sector checks
- Verification of professional credentials and relevant education
- Employment and professional reference checks
- Review of relevant CPR and first-aid training
- Applicable health and immunization screening
What languages do your caregivers speak?
Our team can support clients in multiple languages, including English, Hindi, Punjabi, Urdu, Spanish, Arabic, French, Chinese, and Vietnamese.
Please let us know your preferred language when contacting us. Language-specific staffing depends on availability.
Is there a minimum number of hours for home care?
Our currently published minimum for private home care is four hours per shift. Contact our team to discuss scheduling and care requirements.
Can I receive government-funded home care in Alberta?
Eligible Albertans may qualify for publicly funded home care through the Client-Directed Home Care Invoicing (CDHCI) program.
A provincial home care case manager determines eligibility and authorized services. Eligible clients can choose a registered CDHCI provider for approved services.
Can I use private insurance to pay for home care?
Insurance coverage depends on your individual policy and provider. We recommend confirming eligible services and reimbursement requirements with your insurer. Contact us to discuss payment arrangements and documentation.
